Mobile developer, about five years in. I started on React Native because that's what the first company that hired me used, and picked up native Android later when a project needed it. Most of my work has been field and retail apps — the kind used by people standing up, on bad connections, who did not choose to use your software. That has made me care about offline behaviour and error states more than about animations. I'm still fairly junior on the architecture side and I know it; I've been working through that by rebuilding things I already shipped and seeing what I'd do differently. On weekends I make small apps and occasionally a game I never finish.
