A highly regulated government platform for managing public housing benefit entitlements at scale.
What it does: Processes housing benefit eligibility, payments, and stakeholder reporting for a large public sector client. How it was built: Java + Spring Boot backend, Angular + TypeScript frontend, DB2 SQL and JCL for mainframe batch jobs, Spring Batch for data processing pipelines, SonarQube for code quality, and Azure DevOps for CI/CD. What I learned: Navigating a regulated public sector environment; diagnosing and optimizing legacy JCL batch jobs for a 30% runtime reduction; building Spring Batch processes to handle massive datasets for reporting.
